Reviews of the Fathom® Powered Subwoofers:
The Fathom f212 has raised the performance quality of my audio system, and my enjoyment of it, to much higher levels.
The Fathom f212 belongs in the top-rank–Class A–of "Recommended Components."
Larry Greenhill, Stereophile, April 2010
"But do they ROCK? The answer to that question is YES! While I’m still fidgeting with fine-tuning the F110’s to perfection, merely working with the auto setting provides amazing results." Jeff Dorgay, TONEAudio, (Fathom® f110)
"What are they, exactly? I can't answer that in a nutshell. Not if you want more specific than fantastic. The condensed version is that they are relatively small, insanely well-built, extremely powerful, very smooth, tight, detailed to a fine line, clean, poise-laden, dynamically proficient, utterly kick-ass subwoofers." Colin Miller, Secrets of Home Theater and High Fidelity
"The JL Audio Fathom 113 dollar for dollar is the best subwoofer I have heard on the market. If you are in the market for any of the top-of-the-line audiophile products, you owe it to yourself to go out and take a test drive with the Fathom 113. It has the power to knock your socks off. It has the finesse to make your best speakers sound even better." Michael Levy, AudioVideo Revolution

Two JL Audio Fathom f113 subwoofers produced dramatic
changes in my audio system. Never before had new audio gear reshaped
the depth and width of the soundstage, doubled the dynamic range, and
increased the transparency, all at the same time.
The Fathoms reproduction of double bass had ear-boggling dynamics and pace.

The JL Audio Fathom is of reference quality and a benchmark by which all other subwoofers can be judged.
Robert Harley, The Absolute Sound, March 2007
Living with the Fathom was like chatting with the smartest and
most agreeable guest at a party full of blowhards. Action movies lost
that one-note quality that so often leads to irritation and boredom.
The bottom end of pretty much any kind of music took on more definition
and shape, even with the lowest string of the lowest instrument.
Suddenly relieved of bad-sub stress, I became less stressed. I felt a
renewed appreciation for artists and engineers because I could hear
more of what they'd intended me to hear. Over time, my expectations
changed. I now have a broader frame of reference for what a sub can
accomplish. This will not make subsequent reviewing any easier.
Couldn't I just stay here forever?

"The JL Audio Fathom f113 is the single best A/V product I have
experienced. The improvement it made to my home-theater system was
stunning. I've never heard better." Many people have commented on those
two lines from my October 2006 review, accusing me of loving the f113 a
little "too much." My advice to you is to go and hear it; then you will
understand why it is the 2006 Home Theater & Sound Product of the
Year.

Reviews of the Gotham® Powered Subwoofer:
There is apparently information in the subsonic region that fills out the sound of a concert hall. Once you’ve heard it, you can’t go back.
- Jacob Heilbrunn, TONEAudio
The Gotham g213 produces state-of-the-art bass that will improve the highest of high-end systems. I've heard no other subwoofer that can match it.
- Jeff Fritz, Ultra Audio
The Gotham is a massively overbuilt (think mil-spec)
subwoofer that doesn't know the meaning of the term dynamic
constraints

Neil Gader, The Perfect Vision
While it's true that you should never judge a book by its cover
or a subwoofer by its luxurious, hand-rubbed gloss-black finish, one
look at the Gotham g213 creates instant desire.
